You cannot capture the smell of your grandmother’s apple pie in a photo. You cannot capture the feel of your newborn son’s hand in yours in a photo. You cannot capture the taste of the Donner Combo Sandwich at Ikram Bakery in a photo.

There is no way a photo does justice to the flavor bomb that is created as they put this sandwich together:

• Amazing Shawarma- both beef and chicken
• Hummus
• Tzatziki
• Tomatoes
• Lettuce
• Spicy Peppers
• Onion
• Something that looks like Tabouli but better
• Shawarma sauce
• Hot spicy sauce
• Pickled Turnips (I always ask for extras)

When they are done putting this thing together, there is no way you could fit it in your mouth, but then they put it in a sandwich press for a few minutes and BOOM it’s ready to shred your tastebuds.

Located in a small strip mall on Warner, west of Brookhurst, they have recently added indoor seating so it won’t get cold on your drive home.
