Last summer after watching the movie Chef, I had a really hankering for a good Cubano. Unfortunately finding a good Cubano in Orange County is a tough assignment.

Fortunately I stopped at Sessions one day and saw they had one on their menu. It’s good.

Real good.

The El Cubano at Sessions in Newport Beach is about as summer blockbuster as you are going to get in a sandwich. Everything about it is fun, especially the chow chow. Heck make sure they slather that on real thick. Here’s another picture I took a week earlier, so you can see the chow chow playing the supporting actor role to a T.
